Collection: Monotub Grow Kits

GROW YOUR WAY, FROM START TO HARVEST

Take more control of your grow with our MushPro™ Monotub Grow Kits. Designed for growers looking for more space and larger harvests, these setups create a controlled fruiting environment while giving you greater flexibility throughout the growing process.

01 What is a Monotub Mushroom Grow Kit?

A Monotub is a mushroom growing system designed to create a controlled environment for colonisation and fruiting. Our MushPro™ Monotub Grow Kit combines sterilised grain, CVG bulk substrate and a reusable Monotub, giving growers greater control over each stage of cultivation while making the traditional monotub method more straightforward.

02 Who is the MushPro™ Monotub Grow Kit best for?

The MushPro™ is ideal for growers who want to take their cultivation to the next level and work towards larger harvests. It involves more steps than an all-in-one grow bag, including colonising the grain, mixing it with bulk substrate and managing the fruiting environment, making it particularly suitable for growers who want a more hands-on growing process.

03 What comes with a MushPro™ Monotub Grow Kit?

The Regular kit includes a 1.5kg sterilised millet grain bag, 2kg sterilised CVG substrate bag, Regular Martian MonoTub, Ultra Fine Mister and Mycology Kit.

The Large kit includes two 1.5kg sterilised millet grain bags, two 2kg sterilised CVG substrate bags, Large Martian MonoTub, Ultra Fine Mister and Mycology Kit. Both sizes are also covered by our Lifetime Guarantee.

04 Does the Monotub Grow Kit come with a mushroom culture?

No. The MushPro™ Monotub Grow Kit is supplied non-inoculated so you can choose the gourmet mushroom species you want to grow. A spore or liquid culture syringe is not included and should be purchased separately.

05 How do you use a Monotub Mushroom Grow Kit?

Before starting, we highly recommend reading our full MushPro™ Monotub Mushroom Grow Kit Guide, which takes you through inoculation, incubation, spawning, fruiting and harvesting step by step. Read the MushPro™ Monotub Mushroom Grow Kit Guide.

In general, you first inoculate the sterilised grain bag with your chosen gourmet mushroom culture and allow it to fully colonise. The colonised grain is then mixed with the included CVG substrate inside the Monotub and allowed to colonise again. Once ready, the tub is moved into fruiting conditions so mushrooms can begin to develop.

06 What conditions does a Monotub Mushroom Grow Kit need?

The ideal conditions depend on the mushroom species you’re growing, so always consider the requirements of that particular variety.

As a general guide, temperatures of around 24–27°C are recommended during colonisation and around 21–24°C during fruiting. During colonisation, the Monotub vents remain closed. For fruiting, the vents are opened slightly to increase fresh air exchange, while indirect or ambient light helps trigger mushroom development.

07 How long does it take to grow mushrooms in a monotub?

Growing times vary depending on factors such as mushroom genetics and temperature, but the full process will generally take around 4–8 weeks. Once the grain and substrate have been spawned into the Monotub, the first mushroom pins may begin appearing around 14–21 days later.

08 How much can you grow with a Monotub Kit?

Yields can vary substantially depending on the mushroom genetics, environmental conditions and size of the kit. The MushPro™ is designed for growers looking for larger harvests, with the product range capable of producing substantial yields when the growing conditions are right.

09 Can I buy refills for my MushPro™ Monotub?

Yes. Once you already have a Monotub, you don’t need to purchase the complete kit every time. Our Monotub Grow Kits collection includes a Millet Grain Spawn + CVG Bulk Substrate Bundle for future grows, as well as the MushPro™ Monotub container separately.
